Full-stack developer & IT lead

About

I run the IT department of a recycled-plastics plant as sole owner of its cost centre, and I write the software that department runs on. The KPIs I report every month come out of systems I built.

How I build

  1. P1

    Diagnose in writing

Before touching anything, the gap goes on paper. My own ISO 9001 diagnostic named my department's worst finding.

  2. P2

    Rules in the database

Business rules live in PostgreSQL. The client gets no write privilege it does not need.

  3. P3

    Tests in CI

SQL assertions against a disposable database, Vitest on the app, five-stage pipeline before anything ships.

  4. P4

    Ship to real users

Internal tools go live for the people who asked for them, on the shop floor, the same week.

  5. P5

    Report the KPIs

The numbers I report come out of the systems I wrote, including the unflattering ones.

  6. P6

    Iterate

Overrides from the panel, not from a redeploy. The system changes with the operation.
